Art History Kiosks for Regional School Students
The project, Block-in Art History, is meant for the Arts Centre at the Sara Centre, a sustainibility centre in the Western Ghats where, visiting regional school students can experience world art history while developing art appreciation.
The life-sized, book-like kiosks have been designed to provide an immersive learning experience using images.
These collection of images, of artifacts and monuments, span through pre-history, history, and the contemporary world.
Through its narratives, the project provide a non euro-centric perspective of History of Art where, more detail is given to cultures more relevant to us, while those distant, covered in lesser detail.
